Haiti and Dominican Republic
September 2013 FootPrints received about 400 pairs of brand name athletic shoes (running shoes and cleats) from the Cornell University Athletic Department donated by members of the women’s and men’s varsity teams. Thank you in large part to the Foundatin for Peace NGO located in Haiti and the Dominian Republic. The Foundation for Peace has donated 400 pairs of FootPrints shoes to children in schools they are building in Vilaj Kanes in Haiti (about an hour east of
Port-au-Prince) and Casa de Luz in Dominican Republic. The children were very thankful to receive the shoes because many of the children live in abandonded multi-handicapped homes for children. FootPrints is very greatful for this partnership formed with Foundation for Peace and we look forward to working more with the organization.
